Only Available to Families
Currently Using our Boarding Services
The cost of our services varies based on the size of your dog, the length and condition of fur.
Anticipate leaving your dog with us for a duration of 3 to 4 hours. Larger dogs, de-matting, de-shedding will need additional time.
We charge $20 per 15 min for de-matting and de-shedding.
If we find fleas and/or ticks there is an additional $40 charge. We stop what we are doing, and we start over with a specialty shampoo.
We closely monitor for signs of stress. If a dog is exhibiting stress, we take a ten-minute break, and then continue slowly. If stress continues and/or becomes worse, we may discontinue and call parents.
We do not leave dogs unattended on tables or in baths. We will always be within an arm’s reach of your dog while on a table or in the bath.
We use grooming loops and leads. Grooming loops and leads are like putting on a seatbelt when you drive a car.
We disinfect tools after each use.
Clean buckets of fresh water are always available. If your dog is here for more than a few hours, we will take them for a potty break.
We never use heated kennel drying.
All Special Care dogs will wear a happy hoodie during blow drying. Special Care includes seniors, puppies, and dogs that suffer with anxiety. Happy Hoddies reduce noise level.
No Shows or Cancellations without a 24 hour notice will be charged $35
If two people are needed for a biter, hard to handle, or older dogs the price doubles. We will text you first to see if you would like us to keep going or stop.
If your dog is Special Care and hard to work with, or older and we need to give breaks throughout the day, the price doubles. We will text you first if this is something we discover after you leave.
FAQ
Can I stay and watch? No, we kindly request that you only visit us upon receiving a text that your dog is ready. Please avoid coming in too soon and encountering your dog on the table. Doing so usually results in a very excited dog that we then have trouble working with. You are welcome to stay at the picnic area near the horse pastures and barn.
What if I can’t pick up my dog before you close? No problem. We will board your dog overnight, and you may pick up during AM business hours the following day. Please see Business Hours for boarding and let us know what time you will arrive. We are appointment only for all arrivals and departures.
Do I have to board with you to use this service? No, but you will need to fill out a New Dog Intake Form.
If my dog is boarded with you, do I need to fill out the New Dog Intake Form? No, we have everything we need on the Dog Boarding Form, but you will need to submit, “Schedule a Bath.”
Do I need to submit current vaccines if I’m only coming for a bath and not using your boarding services? Yes, we will not allow you to get your dog out of your vehicle unless you have sent us a copy of all required vaccines before arrival.
What vaccines do you require?
Required Vaccinations:
Rabies Vaccine
Parvo/Distemper Vaccine
Bordetella Vaccine
Leptospirosis Vaccine
Parasite Treatment (Worms, fleas and ticks) .
Please send vaccination records before arrival. Please send records to littleriverfarmfloyd@gmail.com, or text them to 540-276-4035. We must have a copy for our files.
Please look over vaccinations and treatments required and consult with your vet if any vaccinations are missing. If you are missing any vaccinations, once the vaccine is given it takes several weeks to be effective for most. For rabies a 28 day wait is required before visiting our facility. Not all veterinarians include the Bordetella (kennel cough) and Leptospirosis vaccine in routine vaccinations. Please double check that your pet has received these vaccinations before scheduling with us.
